Following the collapse of her marriage, career, and health, a woman travels to Havana to find happiness. Five years later following the death of her father, she returns on a joyride through the city to revive her spirit again. This film is a celebration of beauty and a reclamation of self and wonder in the midst of ruin. Havana and its generous, joyous, talented inhabitants show us that we are able to find the light in the darkness of loss if we can find the beauty in each moment and in each other. Havana teaches us hope and dignity. Havana teaches us courage and strength. Havana teaches us grace. Havana teaches us that in spite of our difficulties, life is a carnival.
